Gaugewise Privacy Policy

Overview

Gaugewise is a local yarn-fit calculator and decision record. It works without a separate account, server account, cloud sync, external API, marketplace, AI service, OCR, or camera access.

Information you enter

Gaugewise can store or process values you enter for yarn-fit decisions, including pattern facts, yarn facts, swatch measurements, stash quantity, yards or meters per skein, grams or ounces per skein, dye lot notes, buffer choices, warnings, saved decisions, text export details, CSV snapshot details, unit preferences, and locale settings.

Storage and sharing

Gaugewise is designed to keep app records on the current device. Inputs, units, assumptions, buffer values, warnings, result labels, saved decisions, unit preferences, and locale settings do not leave the device through Gaugewise unless you choose to export text, copy or share a CSV snapshot, screenshot, or share them outside the app.

Gauge, units, and locale settings

Gauge, row gauge, blocking state, unit choices, and locale settings can affect dimensions, number formatting, decimal separators, and unit presentation. Gaugewise uses those inputs to explain local estimates; it does not provide individualized pattern, fit, sizing, yarn, color-match, or professional craft advice.

Support requests

If you contact product support at support@dartscreative.com, the email address and details you send are used to answer the support request. Do not send private pattern files, paid pattern text, customer details, full personal project notes, seller credentials, payment details, or confidential maker information unless support explicitly asks for a redacted example.

What Gaugewise does not use

Gaugewise does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, account tracking, hosted sync, marketplace data, seller routing, yarn databases, pattern libraries, OCR, camera capture, AI parsing, external APIs, or remote calculation processing.

Your choices

You control what you enter, save, revisit, delete, export as text, copy or share as CSV, screenshot, or share. Review every assumption, warning, unit label, and result before using an estimate, and keep individualized pattern adjustment, fit, sizing, yarn choice, and professional craft decisions outside the app.
