Hearthfile
Hearthfile Privacy Policy
Hearthfile is a local-first file for appliances and fixtures. It works without an account, ads, server-side service, automatic manual lookup, cloud processing, or remote AI processing.
Overview
Hearthfile is a local-first file for appliances and fixtures. It works without an account, ads, server-side service, automatic manual lookup, cloud processing, or remote AI processing.
Information you enter
Hearthfile can store item names, item type, room labels, make, model number, serial number, purchase date, warranty date, consumables, parts, part numbers or sizes, service provider labels, purchase notes, service notes, service-interval values, reminder state, manual reference notes, receipt reference notes, saved attachment filenames, label photo notes, document state, and export text that you choose to create.
Storage and sharing
Hearthfile is designed to keep item details on the device. Item facts, serial numbers, photos, receipts, manuals, notes, saved attachments, and export contents do not leave the device through Hearthfile unless you choose to export or share them.
Notifications
Hearthfile can store local reminder state for service dates, warranty dates, consumables, and other upkeep dates. You can enter service intervals in days, weeks, or months. Notification delivery depends on iOS notification settings and notification permission. Hearthfile does not use notification state as proof that maintenance happened.
Photos and documents
If you add photos, manuals, receipts, or other documents, those files remain user-controlled documents. Text reference notes are separate from saved file attachments. Hearthfile does not verify that a document is complete, authentic, legally sufficient, safe, or accepted by a manufacturer, insurer, buyer, landlord, tenant, contractor, or repair professional.
User-facing data inventory
- Persisted records: Home item records, room labels, consumables, parts, service provider labels, service notes, service intervals, document references, saved attachment filenames, label-photo notes, reminder state, and notification request IDs stay on this device.
- Transient search and filters: Index filters and search text narrow the visible list only; Hearthfile does not store search-query history.
- Generated exports: Handoff/export text is generated from saved item records when you create it.
- Cached or prepared exports: No separate export cache is promised. Document and attachment missing flags are part of item records, and exported or shared files outside the app are controlled outside Hearthfile.
- Notification state: Service-date and warranty-date reminders can keep reminder status, notification request IDs, and pending alert state. iOS notification permission controls delivery.
- Recent history: No separate recent-history list. Service history entries are saved inside the related item record.
- Clear or reset controls: Use item delete controls, service-entry delete controls, and clear-missing controls for document or attachment state. Removing the app through iOS removes the app's local container.
Analytics, Logs, And Diagnostics
Hearthfile includes a first-party local analytics wrapper for privacy-safe product event names. Those events do not leave the device, are not persisted by the app, and are not sent to a remote analytics service because the default analytics sink is empty.
The app's local event names are limited to workflow states such as create, update, archive, export, reminder, attachment, calculator, support, or screen events. They must not include appliance and fixture names, model and serial numbers, room labels, provider names, parts, service notes, reminder state, local photo references, document references, and export content.
Debug builds used by developers may print the event name and analytics pipeline to the local debug console. Release builds do not write these analytics logs. Hearthfile does not include a third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, attribution SDK, third-party crash-reporting SDK, IDFA use, App Tracking Transparency prompt, account tracking, or cross-app tracking.
Apple may separately provide App Store, TestFlight, crash, diagnostic, or aggregate App Analytics reports through Apple-operated systems, App Store account controls, iOS privacy settings, or diagnostic settings. Those Apple-operated reports are separate from Hearthfile's local analytics wrapper. The App Store privacy label lists data Darts Creative collects through its own systems, such as user-initiated support emails, and does not treat local-only event names as uploaded analytics or tracking.
Support requests
If you contact product support at support@dartscreative.com, the email address and details you send are used to answer the support request.
Support screenshots, logs, and email attachments can include private app data if you include them. Do not send home photos, appliance serial numbers, room layouts, provider details, receipts, warranty documents, service records, insurance details, or screenshots that identify a home unless support explicitly asks for a redacted example.
What Hearthfile does not use
Hearthfile does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, account tracking, cross-app tracking, hosted sync, automatic manual lookup, remote AI processing, contractor lead generation, insurance claim processing, or smart-home device control.
Your choices
You control what you enter, keep, edit, delete, export, or share. Review exported home details before sending them to another person because exports may include item facts, room labels, service provider labels, part names, part numbers, document-reference state, saved attachment filenames, notes, dates, and other home details.
