RenoTally is a private renovation and repair cost-change ledger. It helps you record what changed, what it cost, what you have paid, and what is still unpaid.

Overview

RenoTally is a private renovation and repair cost-change ledger. It helps you record what changed, what it cost, what you have paid, and what is still unpaid.

It does not recommend prices, judge quotations or estimates, choose contractors or fundis, calculate materials, give construction guidance, process payments, or give legal, tax, insurance, accounting, permit, county approval, code, NCA, NEMA, warranty, dispute, or safety advice.

These totals are for personal organisation and conversation prep. They are not official legal, tax, insurance, accounting, warranty, county approval, permit, code, NCA, NEMA, or construction compliance records.

Information you enter

Create one project for a renovation or repair, such as a kitchen refresh, bathroom renovation, repair job, or exterior works. Add a simple title, status, dates, and notes.

You do not need to enter a real address, contractor or fundi contact, or legal project name to get value from the app.

change events

Use an allowance entry when a planned amount changes because of a selection or substitution.

For example, if a tile allowance was KSh 1,200 and the selected tile costs KSh 1,875, RenoTally records the +KSh 675 difference. It does not recommend which tile, fixture, appliance, or material you should choose.

Attach receipts, invoices, quotations, or progress photos to the exact event they belong to. Attachments stay part of your local records unless you export or share them.

Avoid adding sensitive information you do not need for your personal record.

Use reminders for neutral due dates, decision deadlines, and follow-ups. A reminder is only a prompt to review your own records.

RenoTally does not tell you whether to pay, hold back payment, dispute, or approve anything.

Storage and sharing

Attach receipts, invoices, quotations, or progress photos to the exact event they belong to. Attachments stay part of your local records unless you export or share them.

Avoid adding sensitive information you do not need for your personal record.

Use local delete or reset controls to remove projects, ledger events, reminders, attachments, and cached exports created by the app.

If you exported or shared a file outside the app, delete that copy from where you saved or sent it.
